Ia Orana lovers, are you ready to get lost in another love history? Check the pictures of Meredith & Zach! Because what was meant to be a beachfront ceremony didn’t happen due to hurricane-like weather in South Carolina, they decided to do a love photo shoot at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa to complete their wedding album.
Zach is Samoan, so for their honeymoon they wanted to travel to French Polynesia and experience Bora Bora’s clear waters and Samoa’s vibrant culture.
And this is how our lovers met, hand in hand at the bottom of the sea:
“Imagine a boy, 6’2, legs like tree trunks and hair like Samson’s, drowning. That’s what young Meredith witnessed on June 20, 2010.
As a lifeguard at the local water park, 19 year old Mere-bear was keen on saving lives. Rumors say she once dragged 6 drowning puppies out of the deep end. Others say she could hold her breath under water for 17 minutes. Neither have been confirmed, but then again who would challenge her.
Watching the giant boy struggle to stay afloat, her instincts kicked in fast. But this was different. For little did she know, the young man-child (Zach, she would learn his name to be) was an excellent swimmer. Being of Samoan descent, it was a rite of passage for him to be one with the ocean. It was rumored that he once lifted a shark from beneath the wreckage of a ship. Others claim he once ran barefoot 23 feet just across the surface of the water. Neither have been confirmed, but then again who would challenge him.
How then, on this dreaded day, in 4’ water, was our hero fighting death? And how would our heroine find the strength to save him?
In the end was it love that saved him? Fate? The stars aligning?
No. He was playing a trick on her. He could breathe just fine.
